Vegetarian food contains some dietary fiber, phytochemicals  and nutrients. It is more important that our gut loves these microbes. The gut is out body's second brain.

90% of serotonin and 5% of dopamine are produced in our intestines. Precursors of serotonin and dopamine could cross the blood-brain barrier and alter our emotional behavior.

Intestinal serotonin could affect intestinal motility, mood, appetite ,sleep and brain function.
